Microsoft has just released another two accelerators for Dynamics CRM, providing further options to add value to Dynamics CRM software deployments.
Portal Integration
The Portal Integration accelerator adds functionality to allow Microsoft Dynamics CRM to connect more easily to an organisation’s web experience, allowing CRM data to be exposed to the internet. This builds upon the existing eService portal engine but allows customers the option to expose any entity rather than just those from the Service area of CRM. With this added software capability, organisations can extend any business processes – such as product registration, to the internet.
The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Portal Integration accelerator is a key component upon which several planned future developments will be based.
Partner Relationship Management (PRM)
The Partner Relationship Management (PRM) accelerator provides pre-built extensions to allow businesses to use Microsoft Dynamics CRM to distribute sales leads and centrally manage sales opportunities across channel partners.
This accelerator utilises the portal integration functionality to allow companies to jointly manage sales processes with their channel partners through a centralised web portal.
Social Networking Accelerator
Microsoft’s eagerly anticipated Social Networking accelerator for Dynamics CRM, which will provide functionality for organisations to monitor and analyse customers’ interactions on social networking sites, is due to be released shortly. The first version will provide Twitter integration, with future releases expected to extend to other networks including Facebook and LinkedIn.
