Dynamics CRM: WPC News

Dynamics CRM Partners at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) in Los Angeles this week have been lucky to learn more about Microsoft’s Dynamics CRM 2011 initiatives.

Microsoft unveiled the upcoming Q4 2011 Service Update, which will include social activity feeds driven by both status updates from colleagues and automatic feed items resulting from record updates / actions in CRM.

Other updates announced include Dynamics CRM cross-browser compatibility (Safari, Firefox and Chrome on both PC and Mac), an improved billing platform integrated with Office 365, single sign-on and improved disaster recovery provision.

Kirill Tatarinov of Microsoft highlighted the unrivalled success experienced by Dynamics CRM to date, revealing that they recently exceeded the 2 million user mark – more quickly than any other CRM vendor in history!

Convergence 2009

The Microsoft Convergence conference took place from 10-13 March 2009 at the New Orleans conference centre in Louisiana, United States.

Here at The CRM Business we have been reading reviews and listening to what others have had to say about the conference.

Key details so far:

The team and attendees were very excited about the recently released CRM accelerators and the additional functionality that they bring, and these were officially launched at the conference.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM is continuing to gain in popularity. There are now over 900000 individuals using Microsoft CRM from 18000 organisations.
The CRM Developer Toolkit (due to be available in April 2009) promises additional Visual Studio functionality, making life easier for developers.
The Microsoft Dynamics CRM team are still as committed as ever to listening to user feedback and working to make improvements based upon this. During the conference, the product team held sessions with customers and partners and responded to questions.
There were a total of 81 sessions covering various aspects of CRM over the 4 days, covering everything from advice on implementing CRM in different sectors and customer testimonials, to in-depth technical sessions.
Attendees were asked to think of the product as “xRM” rather than “CRM”, as it provides such a flexible, customisable development platform that it can be used to manage any business relationships, not just those with customers.
The Microsoft CRM development and support teams provided sneak-previews of CRM developments in the pipeline, however few details are available from these as the attendees had to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements.
